Embedding Process
Connect your WhatsApp Business Account to WhatsAble with Meta's Embedded Signup. Meta WhatsApp Coexistence is supported, so you can keep the WhatsApp Business app on your phone.
WhatsApp Business Account Integration
Overview
WhatsAble sends and receives WhatsApp messages through your own number on the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta's Cloud API). Before the inbox, broadcasts, the AI agent, the integrations or the API can work, you connect one WhatsApp number. Nothing in WhatsAble sends until one number is live.
This guide connects your WhatsApp Business Account to WhatsAble with Meta's Embedded Signup. Embedded Signup is Meta's own signup window. It opens inside WhatsAble, and it creates or connects your WhatsApp Business Account in a few steps.
Prerequisites
A WhatsAble account. Create one at console.whatsable.app/sign-up. You do not need a paid plan to connect a number.
A Meta Business Portfolio, or the intention to create one during the signup.
A business phone number that can receive a verification code by SMS or by phone call. If the number already runs in the WhatsApp Business app, keep the app. WhatsAble supports Meta WhatsApp Coexistence.
You are an owner or an admin of the WhatsAble account. Only owners and admins can open Business Numbers.
WhatsApp Coexistence
Meta WhatsApp Coexistence is supported on Whatsable. You do not need to delete the WhatsApp Business app or stop using the number on your phone. After Embedded Signup, the same number works in the WhatsApp Business app, the Whatsable inbox, and automations (Make, Zapier, n8n, API, and webhooks) at the same time.
You can connect a number that is already active in the WhatsApp Business app. After Embedded Signup:
- You continue to chat with customers from the WhatsApp Business app on your phone.
- Your team uses the WhatsAble inbox in the browser.
- You send and receive through Make, Zapier, n8n, the API, and webhooks.
WhatsAble delivers the messages that you type in the WhatsApp Business app to your webhook. See incoming_message, send_by and was_message_by_human in the message webhook payload.
Coexistence works on every WhatsAble plan that connects a number through Embedded Signup. It does not depend on one integration. WhatsAble's own support number also runs on Coexistence.
Coexistence applies to the WhatsApp Business app (the business client). If the number is registered on the consumer WhatsApp app, move it to WhatsApp Business or use a different number. You do not delete the WhatsApp Business app to work with WhatsAble.
For the full Coexistence guide, see Connect WhatsApp Business to WhatsAble (Embedded Signup + Coexistence).
Integration Process
Open the connection page
- Log in to WhatsAble at console.whatsable.app.
- Open Settings → Business Numbers.
- Select Connect WhatsApp.
A new account can also start from Get started. There, the button is Connect your WhatsApp number. The Setup checklist on the same page tracks the next steps.
Connect with Facebook
- Log in with your Facebook account when Meta asks.
- If you are already logged in, select Continue as [your Facebook username].
- Read the permissions that Meta lists.
- Select Get Started to begin the configuration.
Complete the configuration in Meta's window
Select an existing business portfolio or create a new one
If you create a new business portfolio, fill in the required fields:

Your business website URL or social media profile

If the number is already in your WhatsApp Business app, Meta offers Coexistence here. Then you scan a QR code with the app instead of a verification code.
Enter the verification code that you received by the method you selected.
- After the verification, Meta shows the "You're now ready to chat with people on WhatsApp" screen.
- Select the Add Payment Method button.
- Meta opens the Facebook Business "Billing & Payments" page.
- Select "Payment Methods" in the left menu.
- Make sure that you are on the "WhatsApp Business accounts" tab.
- Select your WhatsApp account in the dropdown. Check the WhatsApp account ID.
- Select "Add Payment Method" and fill in the required information.
- Set your payment method as the default option.
Check the connection in WhatsAble
When Meta's window closes, WhatsAble finishes the connection. WhatsAble also imports the templates of your WhatsApp Business Account in the same step.
- The number shows in Settings → Business Numbers, with the state that Meta reports for it.
- For a new number, WhatsAble shows the number's two-step PIN one time. Save it. WhatsAble does not show it again.
- If WhatsApp did not complete the registration, WhatsAble tells you that the number cannot send yet. If a six-digit two-step PIN is already set on the number, enter it in Two-step PIN and select Retry registration.
Complete Business Verification
This step is important to send messages without restrictions. An unverified business can have limited functionality.
- Open Settings in your Facebook Business Manager.
- Select "WhatsApp accounts" in the "Accounts" section.
- Scroll down to the "Business verification" section.
- Select "Start verification" to open the Security Center.
- Complete the business verification. Give the business information and documents that Meta asks for.

Troubleshooting
If the verification of your phone number fails:
- You do not need to delete the WhatsApp Business app. Coexistence is supported, so continue to use that app on your phone.
- If the number is on the consumer WhatsApp app (not WhatsApp Business), move it to WhatsApp Business or use a different number.
- Wait 24 hours before you try again with the same number.
- Try a different verification method (SMS or call).
- Contact support if the problem continues.
If Meta's window closes before the end, WhatsAble shows Signup not finished. Pick up where you left off. Select Retry to open Meta's window again. Meta keeps your progress, so you continue from the step where you stopped.
If you have problems with the business verification:
- Make sure that all business information is correct and agrees with your official documents.
- Give clear, high-quality images of the documents that Meta asks for.
- Allow 1 to 2 business days for the verification review.
- Submit an appeal if Meta rejects the verification.
