Connect WhatsApp Business to WhatsAble (Embedded Signup + Coexistence)

Keep the WhatsApp Business app on your phone and add WhatsAble on the same number. Meta calls this Coexistence. This guide covers what Coexistence actually means, what to check before you start Embedded Signup, the signup flow at a high level, and what changes (and what doesn’t) once you’re connected.

What Coexistence means

Meta Coexistence lets one WhatsApp number run in two places at the same time: the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, and WhatsAble in the background.
  • You keep the WhatsApp Business app installed and can keep using it. Connecting to WhatsAble does not require removing it.
  • Messages sync both ways. A reply typed on your phone reaches WhatsAble, and a message sent from WhatsAble reaches your phone.
  • Status updates, Groups, and Calls stay on the WhatsApp Business app.
  • Your chat history stays on the WhatsApp Business app too. Choosing to share your chat history at the QR / Coexistence step (see Embedded Signup, at a high level) is what brings your existing conversations into WhatsAble.
Do not uninstall the WhatsApp Business app after you connect. Coexistence depends on the app staying installed on that number.

Before you start

A Meta Business Portfolio. Embedded Signup requires a Business Portfolio, not a personal Facebook profile. You can create one during the flow, but having one ready first is faster. For the website field, a business website is fine, but an Instagram or Facebook page URL also works if you don’t have one yet.
A phone number with some recent activity on it. A brand-new, never-used number may fail Coexistence. The number should also already be registered on the WhatsApp Business app (not the consumer WhatsApp app).
Confirm your number’s country isn’t restricted. See country restrictions below.

Country restrictions

Meta doesn’t support new WhatsApp Business Platform connections from Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, and some regions of Ukraine. If your number is registered in one of these, an existing number can’t connect. You’d need a different number outside those restrictions.

If you’re already using an unofficial WhatsApp tool on this number

Turning on Coexistence replaces whatever unofficial (non-Meta) API tool was running on that number. Once Coexistence is active, those unofficial tools stop working on it. That’s expected.

The phone number itself is free. Meta doesn’t charge for it. What you pay for is your WhatsAble plan; WhatsAble passes Meta’s conversation costs through at 0% markup. See pricing for current plans.

Start Connect WhatsApp from WhatsAble

From your WhatsAble account, start the Connect WhatsApp flow.

Log in with Facebook

Meta’s Embedded Signup opens. Log in with the Facebook account tied to your Meta Business Portfolio.

Pick or create your Business Portfolio

Select the Meta Business Portfolio this number belongs to, or create one if you don’t have one yet.

Pick or create a WhatsApp Business Account

Choose an existing WhatsApp Business Account, or let Meta create a new one.

Add your phone number

Enter the number you want to connect. If Meta detects that number is already active in the WhatsApp Business app, it offers Coexistence instead of a fresh registration.

Scan the QR code and choose Coexistence

Confirm you want to keep the number in the WhatsApp Business app. When asked about your chat history, share your chat history. That’s the recommended choice at this step, and it’s what brings your existing conversations into WhatsAble.

Finish verification

Complete any remaining verification Meta asks for (business verification, payment method) and wait for confirmation.
Embedded Signup runs inside your WhatsAble account. Technical footnote: the underlying console lives at notifyer.whatsable.app. You may see that domain during signup; it’s WhatsAble, not a separate product.

After you connect

  • If your Meta Business Portfolio is already verified, expect to be able to send your first message in about 20 minutes.
  • Both sides stay live: keep replying from the WhatsApp Business app, and send and receive through WhatsAble at the same time.
  • Any unofficial API tool that used to run on this number stops working once Coexistence turns on.

Limits & honesty

  • Throughput is set by Meta, not WhatsAble. Meta enforces a messages-per-second limit on the Cloud API side for every connected number. WhatsAble doesn’t control or raise this limit. It’s the same one any Cloud API number gets from Meta.
  • Country restrictions are Meta’s, not WhatsAble’s. Numbers registered in Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, or some regions of Ukraine can’t complete Embedded Signup today.
  • Each number connects on its own. Coexistence, and the connection itself, apply per number. There is no cross-number setup step in this guide.

Troubleshoot

Confirm the number is registered on the WhatsApp Business app (not the consumer WhatsApp app) and has some recent activity. A brand-new number sometimes needs a day or two of normal use before Meta offers Coexistence.
Wait 24 hours and try again with the same number, or try the other verification method (SMS vs. call). Don’t uninstall the WhatsApp Business app while you retry.
Meta doesn’t support new WhatsApp Business Platform connections from Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, or some regions of Ukraine. Contact support to talk through options.
